Rostering FAQ

Rostering FAQ

Only one method of auto-rostering can be supported per District.

Student data for the current school year will be archived upon completion of your integration. We do not recommend changing your rostering method during the school year.

For privacy and security reasons, only those students and teachers who will be using our programs should be shared with Really Great Reading.

To manually roster students, please enter the full first and last name, their grade level and a valid student ID number. If you are unsure of the student ID used by your school, please contact your School Information System manager for assistance.

Really Great Reading uses your Student SIS IDs to maintain student records year over year. When possible, use official state IDs to facilitate use of grant funds, state monitoring and/or research. Student IDs cannot be edited by customers once created.

Student IDs cannot be edited by customers once created. For assistance, please email us. In your email please provide the following information:

Your State, District Name, School Name, the incorrect student ID and the correct student ID. For privacy and security reasons, DO NOT include the full name of the student in your email.

District and School Level Administrators accounts are manually created and will log in at our website to access their dashboard.

Users must be rostered to a school within your district to access classes or run school level reports. If you are a Clever or ClassLink rostered district, users must have the role of teacher or student to successfully auto-roster with RGR.

Really Great Reading offers a FREE Summer School program for all schools. Student access for summer school is offered through a free anonymized site that does not collect data or use ClassLink or Clever SSO. To register please click here.

The auto-rostering process cannot be initiated until your licenses are active for the school year. We recommend waiting to share your data when your school rosters have been finalized.

To switch your rostering method for the next school year, please consult your sales contact to discuss your rostering options.

Auto-rostering requires an order of at least 250 Reading Playground student licenses. (For district implementations and for individual school purchases.)

The licenses will be allocated to the schools included in your rostering plan.

Auto-rostered data cannot be manually edited by RGR. Changes to enrollments must be updated in your SIS.

RGR syncs with Clever and ClassLink daily at 2:00 am ET. Changes made in your SIS will update our system overnight.

If changes are made to your data after the overnight sync, RGR will be updated during the next sync.

Active student data will be archived upon completion of your integration. Classes and students manually rostered prior to beginning the rostering process will be archived. Existing student accounts will be matched with the roster data during the integration process. Existing teacher accounts will be matched with the roster data during the integration process.
