This recognition confirms that our programs meet the highest standards for quality, accessibility, and alignment in Texas classrooms.
Our Texas Editions are 100% aligned to the Phonics TEKS, with each standard fully supported by the ELPS, meet all accessibility and assessment requirements, and reflect the Reading Academies pedagogy that supports teachers and accelerates reading success statewide.
A Trusted Partner in Texas Classrooms
For more than 20 years, RGR has partnered with Texas schools to build strong foundational reading skills. RGR equips educators with research-based tools that make teaching reading easier, more effective, and more impactful for students.
This IMRA approval reflects that shared commitment. It recognizes the dedication of Texas educators who bring the Science of Reading to life every day, helping students grow into confident, capable readers.
Programs Developed for Texas Educators and Students
RGR’s Texas Editions were written specifically for Texas classrooms. Each program:
- Aligns 100 percent with phonics TEKS and ELPS
- Meets accessibility and assessment standards
- Bridges practice and mastery through systematic, explicit instruction
- Reflects the priorities and pedagogy of the Texas Reading Academies
These editions give every Texas educator a clear, consistent path to implement structured literacy with confidence and fidelity.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Structured Literacy in Texas
Our IMRA approval represents an important milestone, but it is only the beginning. RGR will continue to expand our Texas offerings with Orbit TX, our upcoming Grade 3 structured literacy program. Orbit TX is fully aligned with TEKS and the IMRA review rubric and will be submitted for IMRA 2026.
Orbit TX builds on the foundation established by RGR's K–2 programs by integrating phonics, morphology, and vocabulary through engaging, interactive instruction. The program is available now with a digital preview offered at no cost to existing RGR schools and districts for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year.
“Texas state leaders have been very intentional with the programs they are offering to schools, and we are proud to know that our programs align with their educational goals. We look forward to building the foundation for lasting reading achievement in school districts across Texas and the country."
RGR delivers a complete, ready-to-teach foundational skills solution built for Texas classrooms, fully aligned to TEKS and ELPS, and grounded in the Science of Reading. Every lesson, resource, and assessment meets state standards and empowers teachers to build confident, capable readers.
