2024 Free Science of Reading Summer School Training & Lessons - Fully Digital

How do I qualify for the FREE digital lessons?

  • You must be an educator (the lesson plans are designed for trained educators)
  • Checkout using a district email address - our system licenses by district/school.
    • Within 24-72 business hours of placing your order, you will receive your unique link to the Science of Reading Summer School Training. The email will come from customercare@gotowebinar.com so please keep an eye on your spam/junk folder.
    • On May 1, for those educators who complete the training, we will begin sending account login credentials to your district email address so that you can access your FULLY DIGITAL Science of Reading Summer School Lessons. Your lessons will include:
      1. Digital Teachers Guide PDF 
      2. Digital Teacher Presentation Online Tool
      3. Student Reading Playgrounds 
      4. Digital Guided Student Practice Book PDF

Why Are the Lessons Free?

We continue to see a pervasive literacy crisis that was compounded by the pandemic. Really Great Reading can’t stand by and watch as readers fall further and further behind. More than 60% of 4th Graders are reading below grade level. If we work together with educators, we can all help. Summer school is the perfect time to intervene and make essential gains.

This comprehensive set of digital summer school lessons will help students establish the skills and knowledge they need to reenter school successfully this coming fall. Address instructional learning loss this summer with our Science of Reading Summer School Lessons. These comprehensive packages contain:

Three Levels in One!

Addressing learning recovery is essential. Our objective is to provide instruction to as many students as possible this summer. Therefore, we are making our summer school lessons as accessible and as affordable as possible. Each teacher license will have access to all three levels of instruction: 

  • Emerging Reader - For rising first graders and severely struggling decoders in Grades 2-3
  • Developing Reader - For rising second graders and struggling decoders in Grades 3-5
  • Advancing Reader – For struggling decoders in Grades 6-12

Providing three levels of instruction gives teachers the ability to differentiate and determine what is best for their students.
